    Aufgaben

    • Du organisierst und überwachst unsere weltweiten Seefracht-Sendungen. Sowohl im Export, Crosstrade und Import
    • Du hast Interesse an der internationalen Logistikkette mit all Ihren Facetten
    • Du organisierst die termingerechte Abfertigung der Transportaufträge
    • Du erstellst und bearbeitest Fracht-, Zollrechnungen, sowie Ausfuhrbegleitdokumente
    • Du organisierst und überwachst unsere weltweiten Transporte. Hierzu bearbeitest du Aufträge unserer Kunden vom Angebot bis zur Rechnungsstellung vollumfänglich
    • Du planst und organisierst unsere nationalen und internationalen LKW und Bahntransporte im Bereich FTL, LTL und genehmigungspflichtiger Großraum- und Schwertransporte
    • Du erstellst Angebote und Auftragskalkulationen, außerdem bist du für die Erstellung von Transportaufträgen zuständig
    • Du erstellst Import- und Exportdokumentationen, Zollanmeldungen sowie Ausfuhrbegleitdokumente

    Profil

    • Du hast eine erfolgreich abgeschlossene Ausbildung im Speditions- oder Logistikbereich bzw. in der Schifffahrt
    • Deine Ausbildung im Bereich Spedition/Logistik hast du abgeschlossen und konntest Berufserfahrung in der Logistikbranche sammeln (auch durch Praktika oder eine Werkstudententätigkeit)
    • Deine Basis bildet eine abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung oder ein Studium mit dem Schwerpunkt Logistik, bzw. du hast dir die relevanten Kenntnisse anderweitig angeeignet
    • In der Exportabwicklung konntest du bereits Berufserfahrung sammeln und bist mit den Zollvorschriften vertraut
    • Im- und Export Kenntnisse sind von Vorteil, jedoch nicht zwingend erforderlich
    • Kenntnisse im ATLAS-Verfahren von Vorteil
    • Deine Erfahrungen im Bereich der Projektlogistik sind von Vorteil

    Position:          Commercial Executive

    We are seeking a motivated UK Commercial Executive with pricing experience in the project logistics sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing winning RFQ’s, tenders and proposals, working closely with senior team members and clients.  This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyse data and translate complex logistics plans into clear and persuasive proposals.

    The successful candidate will be joining the UK commercial team, to support our expanding commercial structure. Reporting to the UK General Manager on all aspects related to the receipt, production and response to quotation requests and Invitations to Tender (ITT’s). Duties will involve the compilation of rates, assistance in reviewing rates, benchmarking, market research, response write-up’s (but not limited to, the compilation of technical and commercial data) and developing/sustaining relational rents with suppliers and clients alike. From time-to-time duties will also involve operating job files.

    Working as part of a dedicated UK team based in Paddock Wood, Kent, and / or Sevenoaks, Kent, the role is here to support growth and is thus considered pivotal in strengthening our UK business.

    • Excellent written English and grammar an essential requirement.
    • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 family of software products essential, including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Understanding of Office365 collaboration tools, such as Teams, Planner, etc. desirable.  A willingness and ability to embrace and utilise IT solutions in all aspects of your working day.
    • Self-motivated and organised individual, with excellent time-management skills.
    • Experience within the freight forwarding or wider supply chain sector essential, particularly pricing experience across the project logistics sector.
    • Excellent data analysis, organisational and communication skills essential.
    • Good understanding of the UK multimodal logistics market including global commercial trade routes, their participants, and ways to capitalise to win business.
    • Strong communication skills to develop and sustain mutually beneficial supplier and vendor relationships.
    • Excellent understanding of logistics operations and its processes i.e ability to translate a commercial proposal into an effective operational framework.
    • Good understanding of Incoterms, and their applicability.

    The specific tasks to be provided by the Commercial Executive are expected to be as follows:

    General:

    • Take a leading role in the collation of pricing and management of quotations with vendors and clients (external and internal).
    • Conduct rate negotiations to secure and/or increase profitability of live and/or prospective works.
    • Liaise with vendors and clients (external and internal) to collate and distribute relevant information (i.e., procedures or operational information).
    • Support clients with the creation of relevant technical documents and marketing materials (i.e., presentations, route surveys or method statements).
    • Respond to ITTs and Request-For-Information packages (RFIs).
    • Participate in internal and external meetings to understand client’s requirements.
    • From cradle-to-grave, manage, turnaround and submit all RFQ’s on time.
    • Provide commercial support across our various UK-based offices.

    Pipeline:

    • Be able to manage, track and prioritise tasks for upcoming work to enable effective management of multiple deadlines.
    • Work with Sales, Business Development and stakeholders to develop win themes, and analyse expected competitors’ strengths, weaknesses and approach.
    • Feed-back to senior management on initiatives to improve likelihood of winning specific bids.
    • Work on any new/bespoke commercial material with a view to enhance our value-proposition.
    • From time-to-time you will be expected to execute and operate the job files.

    Proposals:

    • Help with the sourcing and collating pricing from global vendors and offices.
    • Assist in enhancing Bid Processes and commercial strategies to that effect.
    • Be involved in the framework for completing bids efficiently, including bid/no-bid analysis, work breakdown structure, bid file structure, kick off meetings (if necessary), senior management reviews, lessons learnt.
    • Review current bid structures and modules and assist in all possible enhancements to those modules, including but not limited to the review and change of Work Processes and Methodology Statements, etc.
    • Record risk of proposal by working with Compliance and receiving sign off from senior management.

    Knowledge library:

    • Maintain a database of up-to-date rate sheets for global operations.
    • Maintain a database of up-to-date logistics service providers (agents, carriers, operators etc).
    • Assist in the continuous improvement of all sales literature  targeted to UK-based businesses.
    • Be a champion of corporate branding and provide a clear and persuasive approach to formatting bids and articulating the company’s message.

    Hand-over:

    • For wins, create summary of operational requirements to Operations (however expect to operate job files from time to time, eg; if/when operations lack capacity to do so).
    • Work with Operations to periodically review performance and create statistics and/or testimonials to use in future proposals.
    • Any other services as may be required.

    Position:          Tender Commercial Executive

    We are seeking a motivated Tender Commercial Executive with a focus on previous pricing experience in the logistics industry with a focus on the project logistics sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and executing winning commercial tenders and proposals, working closely with senior team members and clients.  This role requires excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to analyse data and translate complex logistics plans into clear and persuasive proposals.

    The successful candidate will be joining the Tender Global Management Team based in the UK, which supports our expanding global commercial infrastructure.  This is an opportunity for someone looking to enhance their career working side-by-side with some of the most established project logisticians in the industry.

    Reporting to the Global Tender Manager on all aspects related to the receipt, production and response to major quotation requests and Invitations to Tender (ITT’s). Duties will involve the compilation of rates, assistance in reviewing rates, benchmarking, market research, management of global sales literature and responsibility for the writing and production of responses to ITT’s including, but not limited to, the compilation of some technical and mainly commercial data.  

    Working as part of a dedicated team based in Paddock Wood, Kent, UK and / or Sevenoaks, Kent, UK offices and within a wider global commercial resource base.

    • Excellent written English and grammar an essential requirement.
