TGP Spain: local experience, connected to a global project logistics network
TGP Spain is fully operational in Bilbao, adding an experienced project logistics team to Trans Global Projects’ growing European network.
The development is part of a wider period of expansion for TGP. Recent additions to the European network include Finland and Spain, while TGP has also added an IATA-licensed airfreight department in Bremen. Despite this growth, the focus remains unchanged: project logistics and the people and expertise needed to plan and execute it well.
For Spain, this starts with a team that already brings substantial experience across project cargo, heavy lift, transport engineering, operations, customer service and strategic account management. Its sector experience includes power generation and transmission, renewable energy, construction and infrastructure, and industrial projects.
From planning to execution
Project logistics requirements rarely begin when cargo is ready to move. Decisions made during planning can influence routing, equipment requirements, cost, risk and execution.
That is why the capabilities within TGP Spain cover different stages of the project lifecycle.
Jon Ander Astorkiza, Project Manager & Transport Engineer, brings more than 14 years of project cargo experience. His work combines account management and commercial development with technical proposal preparation, transport engineering and heavy lift support. His experience spans energy, power and renewables, infrastructure and rail.
For clients, this provides a contact who can consider commercial and technical requirements together when developing transport concepts and proposals.
Itxasne Solana, Operations Manager, adds 16 years of industrial projects experience. Her responsibilities cover project execution, subcontractor and vendor management, risk management and operational coordination, supported by experience in heavy lift and out-of-gauge cargo.
Her role provides the link between the agreed transport solution and its execution, coordinating people, suppliers and operational requirements while addressing issues as they arise.
Keeping clients close to the operation
Good execution also depends on visibility and communication.
Laura Echevarría works in Operations Customer Service and brings six years of project logistics experience. Her focus includes shipment tracking, status reporting, incident resolution, customer support, quality and compliance. Her strengths include end-to-end traceability and supply chain management.
Lilian Argüello, also in Operations Customer Service, supports shipment tracking, incident management, customer communication and quality and compliance follow-up. Her strengths include supply chain control and the management of critical transport, customs and contractual documentation.
Together, these roles help maintain visibility as shipments progress while keeping the operational detail and documentation under control.

Leadership in Spain
The local business is led by Sergio Rivas, Managing Director Spain.
Sergio Rivas brings around 25 years of industry experience. Over the past 16 years, he has held different project logistics roles, progressing to country management level. During that time, he has worked across different industry segments, supported major Spanish clients and developed and led teams.
His responsibilities at TGP Spain include business development, sales strategy, team management, tender development, key negotiations, risk and legal management, and financial management of the business.
Blanca Alarcia, Executive Strategy Manager, adds a further strategic and organisational dimension. She brings more than 30 years of professional experience in strategic leadership roles across different industries and has spent the past seven years closely involved in project cargo. Her experience includes strategy, global accounts, prequalification, quality and compliance, digitalisation and the development of international offices.
Connecting Spain with international projects
TGP Spain also works within the wider remit of Igor Muñiz, Chief Strategy Officer – Global Accounts & South Europe.
Igor Muñiz brings more than 25 years of project logistics experience, including senior roles across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. His background includes large-scale energy and industrial projects, freight forwarding, shipping and project cargo, with experience coordinating projects across several countries. At TGP, he leads global accounts and energy-focused activities across Southern Europe, the Americas and the Middle East.
For clients with requirements extending beyond Spain, this adds a wider perspective. The local team can work with TGP colleagues and specialist resources across markets rather than treating each country or shipment in isolation.
Expansion built around capability
TGP’s recent development in Europe is not simply about adding locations It is as important to having the right people, customers and cultural fit, alongside closer collaboration with customers and suppliers.
The Spain team follows that approach.
Its combined roles cover technical proposal development, transport engineering, heavy lift, project execution, vendor management, shipment visibility, documentation, compliance, strategic account management and customer support.
For clients, the practical benefit is straightforward: experienced project logistics contacts in Spain who can support requirements from initial planning through to execution, with access to the wider TGP network when a project requires additional technical, operational or international support.
