TGP launches operations in Spain with Sergio Rivas leading Bilbao office

Trans Global Projects (TGP) has opened its office in Bilbao, with an experienced local team in place to support customers across project logistics, heavy lift and out-of-gauge transportation.

Led by Sergio Rivas, Managing Director – Spain, the Bilbao office is home to a seven-person team with extensive experience in project cargo, industrial logistics, transport engineering and project delivery. Supported by TGP’s global network, the team works with customers from the early planning stages through to transport execution across energy, renewables, infrastructure, industrial and manufacturing sectors.

The Bilbao office provides local operational support for clients in Spain while connecting them with TGP’s wider international network and specialist resources.

Colin Charnock, Group Chief Executive Officer, Trans Global Projects, says: “Spain and the wider Southern European region are important markets for many of our clients and partners. Having an operational office in Bilbao allows us to be closer to projects, strengthen relationships across the region and provide support where decisions and project activities are taking place. The importance of this development is reflected in the fact that members of TGP’s senior management and leadership team will be spending several days in Bilbao next week, working alongside the local team as we continue to develop our presence in Spain.”

Igor Muñiz, Chief Strategy Officer – Global Accounts & South Europe, Trans Global Projects, comments: “Many clients manage projects across several countries and work with multiple stakeholders throughout the supply chain. Our experienced team in Spain allows us to provide local support while maintaining consistent processes, communication and project oversight across wider programmes.”

Sergio Rivas, Managing Director – Spain, Trans Global Projects, adds “Our role is to support clients throughout the project lifecycle, from transport planning and engineering reviews through to execution and delivery. The team has extensive experience in project cargo and industrial logistics, and we are ready to work closely with clients, suppliers and project stakeholders across Spain and the region.”

The Bilbao office will provide a range of services including project logistics management, multimodal transportation solutions, transport engineering support, heavy lift and out-of-gauge cargo transportation, chartering coordination, vendor management and project execution support.

Customers will benefit from local decision-making, direct access to experienced project logistics professionals and the support of TGP’s international network and project expertise.
